Ashley Lewis (Contributing writer, artist, and creator of Made to Create)

I started Made to Create after years of feeling a steady pull to use my love for art and words to encourage others. My path hasn’t been traditional—most of what I’ve learned has come from real life, not a résumé. I create art and write words that speak to hope and healing, and I’m grateful to partner with nonprofits who share that same heart.

 

Kailyn Paulo (contributing writer)

Kailyn writes candidly about faith, mental health, and the messy beauty of healing. With a background in creative writing (blogging, poetry, faith narratives, etc.) and pursuing a Master's in Divinity, she brings depth and honesty to every post. Her upcoming devotional (which we are so excited about!) is a journey through her testimony and finding joy in really hard seasons. When she is not writing, you can find her sipping specialty teas and knitting next to her husband.

 

RC Smith (contributing writer)

RC is Ashley's dad and wears many creative hats—writing blog copy, building websites, snapping nature shots, and designing digital art fireside. He brings a lot of heart to Made to Create, as well as depth of insight from working in children's ministry, and he just tickles us with his iconic witty sarcasm. When he is not creating something digitally, you can usually find him plotting- a garden? a story? revenge on my evil ex? Who knows ;)

 

Sarah Cunningham (contributing writer)

Sarah radiates an unrivaled passion for teaching, literature, and all things Eric Carle. She has a college background in English literature, as well as 9 years experience teaching children. After a traumatic event at 19 years old, she became more devoted to her faith, realizing that she needed God so much more. Now, on any given week, you’ll find her joyfully reading to the children in her classroom, offering a listening ear to others over coffee, hiking through the woods to soak in the beauty of God’s creation—and, of course, coming home to snuggle her two beloved cats. 

 

Drew Lewis (contributing artist)

Drew is Ashley's husband and a brilliant short story writer, video editor, and digital artist with a clean comedic style for all three. Growing up, he developed a love of film and narration with his family that has echoed through the years. Drew has extensive skill in Adobe Premiere and photoshop, and creates some of the amazing designs on our products with his fancy shmancy graphics tablet. Much of our beautiful site photography has been captured by his skillful hands as well.
